Mumbai, March 8 (IANS) The key Indian equity indices opened on a negative note on Friday, tracking a similar trend in the Asian markets.
Both Sensex and Nifty50 traded marginally lower from the closing levels on Thursday.
At 9.21 a.m., the BSE Sensex was at 36,689.4, down 35.99 points or 0.10 per cent from its previous close of 36,725.42.
So far, it has touched an intra-day high of 36,753.59 points and a low of 36,610.47 points.
The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange traded at 11,039.75, lower by 18.45 points or 0.17 per cent from the previous close of 11,058.20 points.
