Environment Minister Javadekar Appeals for a Cracker-Free Diwali

Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar announced the immediate setting up of a control room in the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for a daily review of levels of air pollution and monitoring air quality in the national capital region.

Javadekar met with the environment ministers of Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana to review the air quality situation.

He has also made an appeal for a cracker-free Diwali.
