Delhi Women Can Travel for Free in DTC, Cluster Buses on Bhai Dooj

The initiative is so that women can travel without a hassle to meet their families on the festival.

  • Delhi women will be able to travel for free in all Delhi Transport Corporation and cluster buses on the occasion of Bhai Dooj on Tuesday.
  • Delhi Transport Minister Satyendar Jain said the decision was taken to allow women and girls to travel without any hassle throughout the day to meet their family members.
  • DTC has decided to deploy maximum number of buses to cater to the extra rush of passengers. Delhi government gives free bus rides to women on Bhai Dooj every year.
  • Regional Managers and Depot Managers have been instructed to remain mobile in their operational area to ensure availability of adequate number of buses at heavy loading points.
