The national capital has the maximum number of fake school education boards and universities in India, reports The Hindustan Times.

What’s surprising is that the Human Resource Development Ministry (MHRD) has no count or record of these fake universities and boards.

However, an MHRD-run board, National Institute of Open Schooling, has a list of fake boards in the country on its website.

Of the 47 fake boards on the list, 21 are in the national capital.

The 2016 prospectus of Indira Gandhi National Open University has named 74 fake boards, 44 of these are in Delhi.

Out of the 22 fake universities in India listed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), five are in Delhi.

With the admissions process in various universities around the corner, the subject has gained prominence.
