Bihar Toppers Scam: Ex-BSEB Chairman LP Singh and Wife Arrested

On 15 June warrants were issued against former Bihar (BSEB) Chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his wife.

• Former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his wife Usha Sinha have been arrested in connection with the Class 12 topper scandal by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Monday.
  

• Earlier, on 15 June, a court in Bihar had issued arrest warrants against Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his wife. Patna Chief Judicial Magistrate Om Prakash had issued the arrest warrants against the couple on a plea by police.
  

• On Sunday, Bihar police seized a country-made pistol and five live cartridges from the alleged kingpin in the toppers’ scandal, Bacha Rai’s office at Bishun Rai college on Sunday. Bishun Rai college is central to the infamous toppers’ scandal.
