  • Thirty people were killed and over 35 were injured after they were struck by lightning in Odisha.

    The deceased are from Bhadrak, Balasore, Khurda, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur and Kendrapara districts of Odisha.

    Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik declared a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victims’ and their families.
