Closing Bell: Sensex Falls 207 Points, Nifty Below 11,700

At closing bell, the S&P BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty 50 traded little changed at 39,681 and 11,617 respectively.

Nifty dropped by 60 points and closed at 11,617 while Sensex fell by 207 points to end at 39,681 by 3:30 pm on Thursday, 27 February.

Nine out of 11 sectoral gauges compiled by NSE ended lower, led by the NSE Nifty Realty Index's 2.4 percent fall. On the flipside, the NSE Nifty Pharma Index was the top sectoral gainer, up 0.59 percent.

The Indian rupee closed at 71.62 per dollar on Thursday versus previous close of 71.66.
