An 18-year-old woman was allegedly raped by seven persons, including three minors, when she was returning to her village near Betul in Madhya Pradesh with her brother, the police said on Thursday.
The accused threw the victim's brother in a well before committing the crime on the intervening night of 29-30 April, they said.

SC issues notice on Sharjeel's plea to consolidate all the FIRs filed against him in five different states, as they are all based on the same speech, which the police allege he included seditious comments and attempts to inflame hatred.
Imam's lawyer cited the recent decision of the court to stay the non-Maharashtra FIRs against Arnab Goswami as precedent to combine FIRs in different states. Unlike that case, however, the court has not granted his request at this stage.
The Delhi government was asked to respond to Imam's petition by the bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and Sanjiv Khanna. The matter will next be listed ten days from now.
