US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that the country is "certainly looking at" banning Chinese social media apps, including TikTok, reported Reuters.
His comments made to Fox News come after India banned 59 Chinese-owned apps in a move that came amid tensions between India and China along the LAC in the aftermath of the Galwan Valley clash.
Meanwhile, TikTok has said that it is stopping app operations in Hong Kong, reported AFP.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday made another arrest in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack that had killed 40 CRPF jawans.
“In the continuing investigation of the Pulwama attack case in which 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in an IED blast on 14.02.2019, National Investigation Agency arrested one more accused namely Bilal Ahmed Kuchey on 5 July. It's the 7th arrest made by NIA in this case so far,” the NIA said, as quoted by ANI.
The World Bank provided US Dollar 400 million to enhance support for rejuvenating the Ganga. the Ministry of Finance said, as quoted by ANI.
“The US Dollar 400 million operation comprises a loan of US Dollar 381 million and a proposed Guarantee of up to US Dollar 19 million,” the ministry said.
