Around 3.25 lakh students, which accounts for half the number of students who did not clear class XII Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), have applied for revaluation of their answer sheets, reported DNA.

64 percent of the total students, ie, 7.94 lakh of the total 12.6 lakh students who took the state intermediate, failed the examination.

It has been reported that students pursuing Science stream applied for scrutiny of makrsheets the most.

Following the widespread protests against the results, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar asked the students to apply for scrutiny of answer sheets, if they were dissatisfied with the marks.

He also asserted that the marks showed the “strictness and standard” of the examination conducted by the state board.

All security measures have been put in place, including installation of CCTV cameras and videography at the centres. Nodal officers have been deputed in the districts to coordinate and quicken the publication of results. All results of the scrutiny will be published by 30 June.
