Breaking News! No, seriously. This has the potential to break the Internet, as we say it. Our very own desi Rebecca Black AKA Dhinchak Pooja’s videos have magically disappeared from her YouTube channel.

If you meander onto her channel now, accidentally or intentionally (we won’t judge you), this is what will greet you.

30 million views, but no video.

“This channel has no videos.”

What happened to all the 12 hits she delivered, at the cost of all our collective musical sanity?

We tried to investigate this further.

Kathappa Strikes Again

Before you think we have mixed up real life with Baahubali, have a look at this...

Kathappa, really? Again?

...and then double check if this Katappa spells his name with an H.

Someone named Kathappa Singh submitted a copyright takedown notice on Dhinchak Pooja’s videos. And after reviewing the claim, YouTube has decided to take her content off air. Our guess is that Mr Singh was either involved in the productions and was shortchanged for his efforts, or he was an innocent passer-by who took it rather personally after spotting himself in one of Pooja’s (in)famous videos.

If our in-house Dhinchak Pooja analyst is to be believed, this entire situation could also be a promotional act.

Our analyst has been following the phenomenon called Dhinchak Pooja closely, and tried to unravel the five stages a Dhinchak Pooja fan goes through. She doesn’t put it past Pooja to pull this off with Mr Singh as an accomplice.

Oh well, our investigation is still underway.

Till we get to the root of this or till she resurfaces (fingers crossed), let’s enjoy a world which is a little less tone deaf.
