It’s that time of the year again. Birds chirping, flowers blooming - spring is in the air. But for Game of Thrones fans Winter is Coming. That’s right, it’s time for Lannisters and Tyrells, Dragons and Direwolves as we buckle in to see who wins and who dies when our favourite characters “play the game of thrones.”

The 5th season of the popular HBO show will premiere on April 12, but spoofs are already coming in.

Kit Harington (you may know him better as Jon Snow of the Night’s Watch) was part of a sketch on The Late Show with Seth Meyers. Watch why the brooding bastard of Winterfell is likely to make a terrible dinner guest.

It’s not just the Late Night shows that are capitalising on Game of Throne‘s popularity. The long running children’s show Sesame Street had it’s own parody.

And while Sesame Street’s ‘Game of Chairs’ is brilliantly done, it does make us worry. Is the young audience of the show familiar with the rather adult world of Westeros? After all Game of Thrones is filled with sex, gruesome violence and yes, even incest.
