The sex ratio in Kerala is appalling! It is 1,084 females to 1,000 males.
Thankfully, a local Malayalam newspaper is taking the issue seriously and is aggregating ways in which the ratio can be restored to its rightful proportions; ie: men heavily out-populating women.
In keeping with our patriarchal sanskar, the daily makes two well-founded statements: that bearing a child is a woman’s only preoccupation, and that her existence will only be validated if she bears a male child.
Incidentally, China's sex ratio is only slightly better than India’s: 116 men to 100 women. That’s much too close for comfort. So obviously, China also indulges in boy-bearing sermons.
Unfortunately, however, these newspapers have offered no evidence for these scientifically sound statements. But why let evidence get in the way of anything that might increase your chances of having a boy?
If you’re trying to conceive (and of course you'd only want a boy), you may want to try these. No harm facing west while sleeping, right?
