The streets of India still experiences humanity, but how many of us dare to appreciate it?

In a world full of self-absorbed people, there still exist people like cab driver Asif Iqbal Abdul Gaffar Pathan who returned the wallet of a passenger proving himself being a good Samaritan. Moved by the humble and honest gesture of the cabbie, the pasenger, Darth Sierra appreciated his honesty and took to Twitter to talk about the man’s gesture.

In a Twitter thread, he narrated the entire story: He and his wife booked a cab on Monday, 10 June evening from their residence in Powai and headed to a pub to celebrate his birthday. It even started raining heavily while they were in the cab.

The driver seemed to be a family man to them and on their way, they started chatting with him. As they reached their destination, about an hour later he realised that his wallet is missing and soon called the driver to inquire if he left it in the cab.

Over the phone, the cabbie immediately mentioned that he has kept the wallet safely and will hand it over on his way home.

At around 12:30 in the morning, Asif returned his wallet and wished him a happy birthday.

He later mentioned that coincidentally it was his birthday as well and his family was waiting for him to return home.
