A Turkish artist by the name of Ugurgallen has portrayed social inequality in a series of poignant images.

His attempt in the images is to showcase the “Paralel Everen” or the parallel universe that exists in the same society.

By comparing the luxurious lifestyles of people living in developed nations to the humble lifestyles of those who come from lesser privileged backgrounds, the artist holds a mirror to society, bringing out the inherent disparity.

Check out some of Ugurgallen’s wondrous creations:

The artist’s comparisons include references to gun-violence and war, human rights, and education.

For example, he has compared the life of a child in a privileged country to that of a child who may pick up a gun before a book in a country marked by war.

Parallel universe.

In another set of images, while people create a commotion on the occasion of Black Friday or Christmas sales in prospering nations, migrants have to be satisfied with the smallest of amenities that come their way.

Parallel universe.

What are your thoughts on the images created by the artist? Do you agree with the artist’s interpretation of society?
