Triumphant Vijender Singh Dedicates Win to Martyred Soldiers

Vijender Singh made India proud once again as he successfully defended his WBO Asia-Pacific title on Saturday to remain undefeated in his professional career. Singh knocked out Tanzania's former world champion Francis Cheka in his Super Middleweight title defence clash in less than 10 minutes, marking his eighth win.

Thanking his fans, the Olympics medallist dedicated the triumph to the country's soldiers who lost their lives in the year gone by.

While the who’s who of politics to entertainment to Baba Ramdev attended the fight in Delhi, Twitter erupted with congratulatory messages as Vijender won.
