These Trolls Had Something to Say on Mandana’s Bikini Bod. Yawn
Mandana Karimi trolled on Instagram for wearing a bikini.
Mandana Karimi, actor and an ex-Big Boss contestant is being trolled for just existing on Instagram. The actor posted a video of herself in a bikini and what followed was what has now become the norm for women on social media.
She was trolled viciously for wearing what she did, was called names because she ‘dared’ to wear a bikini in the month of Ramzan. But the question that one needs to ask is why is it a ‘dare’ for a woman to wear whatever that she wants to?
Minutes after Karimi posted the above video on her social media page, she was bombarded with unsolicited opinions about her choice of swimwear.
Unfortunately this isn’t the only instance of male entitlement on social media. Last year as well actor Fathima Sheikh was trolled for wearing a bikini on a beach in the month of Ramzan.
Actor and model Malaika Arora is subjected to unwarranted trolling on her social media pages almost everyday. However, she rarely pays head to them and goes about her life the way she wants to.
Karimi's response to the unnecessary yet incessant trolling was another video of her in a bikini, in the pool.
The trolls will say whatever they have to but women will not stop themselves from being what they are.
Kudos to Karimi and to all the women who are out there, not bowing to unnecessary pressures of conformity that social media brings with it.
