Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau showed his love for Indian culture once again as he put on a kurta for India’s Independence Day celebrations in Montreal and tweeted a picture of himself participating in the event.

Twitter, of course, was happy with the gesture, with many praising or thanking him for his show of friendship.

Many also took the opportunity to compare his obvious respect for diversity to US President Donald Trump’s treatment of minorities.

This is not the first time that Trudeau has dressed up in traditional Indian garb, as the Prime Minister has earlier participated in several other Indian events.
