Just a regular Thursday evening when I was popping and locking to “is it too late now to say sorry” and then my friend Whatsapped me a video of a man break dancing the Doordarshan theme song. If you’re a bharatiya citizen we bet you must’ve heard the infamous Doordarshan signature tune but could you ever break dance to it? Yeah, not in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine that. This is why you’ve got to love the Internet!
Netizens were of-course tickled at the thought of something as old school as the Doordarshan tune inspiring a break dance, and that too on an app like Tik Tok so popular with millennials.
The video has gained viral status and netizens can’t stop raving about it. The dancer in the video has been identified as Vaishakh Nair, a Mumbai-based boy who got almost 14,000 likes and 5,000 retweets on the video. With almost a couple of lakh views, his true victory is, however, a retweet from Doordarshan itself!
Doordarshan’s Director General, Supriya Sahu, shared the video on Twitter, praising Vaishakh's performance as ‘absolutely fantastic’. Their national official Twitter handle applauded his talent by linking and retweeting the video
The video was first seen on Tiktok aka the hottest video sharing app right now and has gone viral ever since it was posted on Twitter.
Well, I can’t bust a move like Vaishakh but I can definitely give him a standing ovation for breaking the Internet and that dance like a pro!
