AR Rahman’s ‘Urvasi Urvasi’, the 1994 song remains a peppy party track even over 20 years after its release. It gained a cult following back then. In fact, Rahman’s ‘Humma Humma’ also got its new version recently in the movie OK Jannu. But is it only Rahman who recreates his songs the best?

A feminised version of ‘Urvasi Urvasi’ is becoming quite popular. It seems just the right time for it too. The CBFC recently banned Lipstick Under My Burkha in India for being “lady oriented”.

And coincidentally enough, this ‘Urvasi’ version is an apt reply as it shoots down all the hypocrisy aside.
