Fan or not, people will cry when Game of Thrones will be over.

The reasons, however, could be different. Through the past five weeks, my life has been surrounded by discussion about Game of Thrones and let me tell you — I don’t care about the show. I stopped watching after the first season because my eyes couldn’t take the violence.

Honesty, I don’t remember the last time our lives were so consumed by any show. This GoT has been the cause for broken friendships and relationships, the reason I unfollowed some meme pages and why I quit some WhatsApp groups. It’s not even funny how I know so much about Daenerys, Tyrion, Jamie Lannister, Arya and what not... when I don’t care about it.

Done With People at Work Complaining They Woke up Early on Monday

I want to point out some double standards here. We are all from the same generation that cribs about Monday mornings (well at least those who usually have Saturday and Sunday or well...just Sunday off.)

But ever since the past five weeks, I have been amazed by the consistency of all these snoozers waking up at 6:30 am to catch on the latest GoT goss!

These people (and I ) will be back in two weeks complaining about Mondays and early meetings and the blues.

Judging you.

Waking up to WhatsApp Groups Filled With Unwanted GoT Episode Reviews

Every person who is not a GoT fan and has friends who follow the show, knows what I am talking about. There have been times when I have woken up because of the constant notification alerts. The first time that happened, I legit thought there was an emergency!

Battle of Winterfell just ended, so what? What do I do? Night King died, so what? Daenerys went batshit, so bloody what?

Wherever You Go, GoT Follows

If I haven’t mentioned enough about how people were discussing their disappointment about the show with me, let me tell you how social media only made it worse. I LOVE MEMES. I do. And who doesn’t?

But do you understand the pain of not getting a meme? And this wasn’t just one meme but a whole LOT. And it doesn’t stop there. Twitter is full of discussions on whether an episode is good or bad. GoT is legit trending every Monday morning and it’s too much pressure to give in to. But I (and a lot of nonfans of GoT) held our ground.

This is what the hard life is all about.

Move On, Life is Not Over

I hear people are *signing petitions* to remake season 8 of Game of Thrones. This is over. Move on. You have had your time with all the hyperventilation, the gasping, the memes, the videos, the 2 year wait after the last season...it’s over.

Live life, move on.

Move on!

You really want to sign petitions? There are so many real issues that need attention. And just so you know, the writers themselves apparently got bored of the series and decided to move on to better things...like STAR WARS.

And remember - Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder.
