India has finally beaten Australia, in Australia and we cannot and should not keep calm. There are a lot of reasons behind this and the primary one being the excellent performance by the entire squad.

A lot of people are saying that India won only because Australia’s squad was weak, with Steve Smith and David Warner missing in it. Well, too bad! We would have won, anyway, and I don’t say that just for the sake of it, there are a lot of reasons to back it.

The player of the tournament, Cheteshwar Pujara and his 521 run campaign which includes three centuries in very difficult situations tops the list of factors that have led to India beating Australia in Australia.

India's pace bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami have taken 48 wickets out of the 70 and have broken a 34-year-old record of taking most wickets by a pace troika in a calendar year.

I always thought it would be tough to fit into MS Dhoni’s shoes and two people who have taken over the reigns competently are Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. The new captain has been breaking records everyday and proving his worth while the young 21 year old Rishabh Pant has already made a name for himself, from standing behind the stumps and also through his bat. Rishabh is the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a century in Australia.

There are a lot more takeaways for the team and you can catch them in the video. Be it Kuldeep Yadav or Mayank Agarwal, there is a whole new set of discoveries in the Indian side and the depth that the squad is carrying, proves that this series was a victory on merit and not due to any other reason.
