When a noisy Punjabi family in Canada was interrupted by some cops who had come around to see what the noise was about, they broke into a song. Why? Because the cops themselves were Punjabi!

The family started wooing their fellow 'Punjabi Canadians' in uniform by cheering and singing in Punjabi. Take a look at this video, now viral and posted by @ikaveri on Twitter and tell us what you think of the cops’ reaction.

Some people on Twitter were quite tickled by this incident and found it endearing, while others were not so amused.

But this is not the first time that desis abroad have been seen as too 'extra'.

Here, a group of desi wedding revelers are seen throwing notes at a foreign location in front of some bewildered and then happy onlookers who go on to pick up the notes!

And then there is the famous hockey night — with Harnarayan Singh’s call of a goal at the Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Series when he yells, Bonino Bonino Bonini eight times and speaks in fluent Punjabi.
