Been invited to an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, yet? You know, a party where people wear sweaters with Santa and snow flake embroidery, and reindeer and Christmas trees.

Massively popular in the US and the UK, the party trend is catching up in India too. Which makes us wonder, will Delhi’s denizens avoid these theme parties, distant as they want to be from anything ugly!

If ugliness in design doesn’t come naturally to you, there are some companies selling you ugly Christmas sweater kits, with the motive to make your sweaters as ugly as can be.

Okay, looks like you are getting interested in this trend. Let’s acquaint you a bit with its history then, shall we?

The trend of Christmas sweaters became popular in the United Kingdom during the 1980s and they were worn by a host of TV stars and celebrities. The United States has been having Ugly Christmas Sweater contests for almost two decades.
