Barcelona (Spain), May 23 (IANS) Spanish MotoGP racer Tito Rabat was on Wednesday hospitalized after he crashed his motorcycle during a tire test run at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya but doctors did not believe him to be injured much.
The Real Avinti Racing driver lost control of his Ducati on a curve and flew off the track. The impact caused the motorbike to catch fire, reported Efe.
"No broken bones. The Doctors will do more checks to discard ligament injuries on his left elbow," said his team on its official Twitter account.
The 2014 Moto2 champion was able to stand up on his own but was picked up by an ambulance and taken to Quiron Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona, his team said.
