The Central Board of Film Certification has been at the eye of several storms. It put the release of Raveena Tandon’s rape-and-revenge saga Maatr in jeopardy for graphic content and expletives. They’ve stalled the releases independent films like An Insignificant Man over issues such as a lack of an NOC.
On the whole, the CBFC has been accused of silencing films that portray ‘controversial’ social issues.
So, how will the CBFC respond to a film made on menstruation?
