The air pollution's impact has been felt by Dilliwallahs for about ten days now. And no one is immune from it.

Actor Priyanka Chopra too found it difficult to shoot for her film, The White Tiger, amid hazardous levels of smog in the Indian national capital.

"It's so hard to shoot here right now that I can't even imagine what it must be like to live here under these conditions," Priyanka Chopra wrote on Instagram. She added, "We r blessed with air purifiers and masks. Pray for the homeless. Be safe everyone."

The air quality plunged to a new low, with AQI reaching levels of 900 in some parts of the Capital. Doctors say AQI between 401-500 counts as severe, and is essentially a health hazard, with *everyone* experiencing more serious health issues.

Cases of respiratory distress have risen by 20 percent in the last few days with almost all hospitals reporting similar rise in number of patients, says the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director Dr Randeep Guleria.
