Bollywood actor and fitness enthusiast Jacqueline Fernandez was in New Delhi recently at a Raw Pressery event, a brand associated with cold pressed juices. When we caught up with her, she had lots to share about her Yoga practice and how she always manages to be so high on energy.
Yoga allowed her to talk to herself, to realise that she can self-talk her body into doing anything, says Jacqueline. When it comes to her routine, she adds she practices it thrice a week, while on other days she ensures her body gets enough stretching on other days.
...pay attention to the form, the actor shares. When she began working on her splits, she wouldn’t pay much attention to the form and alignment and just go for the simple physical act of splitting. However, once Jacqueline started paying attention to these aspects, despite all her practice, it felt like she’s starting the split from scratch.
The second thing to keep in mind is to keep your practice pleasurable. You’re more likely to return to it in that case.
i) Fitness: The actor says it’s important to aim for the best for your body. Ensure you’re doing what it takes to get there.
ii) Diet: Find alternatives. For Jacqueline artificial sugar has been replaced by smoothies and fruit juices.
iii) Mental Peace: There’s one neat answer for it - meditation. She only has a reminder for you to not see it as a chore, but as a way to achieve all your goals.
