We know working out can be hard and more often than not, we end up wasting that gym membership and casting the perfect workout outfit aside. Procrastinating never helps the situation and some of us just can’t find the motivation to get out of bed and exercise.

But being healthy and fit have a direct impact on our overall well being. Continuous and regular exercise goes a long way and helps us in preventing physical and mental disorders.

This simple step-by-step guide is the perfect thing to help you kick start your workout routine.

How to Work Out At Home

1. Make sure you are mentally prepared: Working out or any form of exercise is a commitment. Make sure you are serious about it and are mentally prepared to stick to a schedule.

2. Invest in proper gear: Before you start working out you need to make sure you have the proper gear and clothing. Buy good quality comfortable pants, appropriate footwear which fits well and is versatile and good quality socks. Especially for women, it is imperative to buy a sports bra.

3. Make a schedule: It is essential to make a schedule to keep you in the loop, however it is important that you make a realistic schedule. Sticking to a schedule with long intervals of rigorous exercise is tough. Make a schedule with small intervals of time and simple exercises.

4. Start slow: Diving head first into complex exercises is not recommended. Start with basic exercises, stretching and running or even walking. Exercise for short intervals and don’t tire yourself out too much.

5. Try out different things: Find your comfort zone, not all exercises suit everybody. Try different things and stick to what you are comfortable with.
