District authorities of Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur sent an inquiry report to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Chief Minister office, on Thursday, in connection with the death of a 12-year-old boy due to alleged negligence of doctors in Kanpur Medical College.
Anshu, was suffering form fever when his father Sunil Kumar brought him to Hallet hospital of JSVM Medical College on 28 August. He breathed his last on his father’s shoulders as the doctors allegedly made him run though various departments.
Following the death of the boy, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has suspended the Chief Medical Superintendent of the medical college.
Raj said officials of the district administration are inspecting all government hospitals in the city and apprising him of the situation on a daily basis.
Kaushal, on Wednesday, asked all government hospitals to improve their facilities within three days, failing which they could face action.
He admitted that government hospitals in the district lack in facilities to match the rush of patients with dengue and viral infections and said the administration is making efforts to provide immediate help.
