COVID-19 India: Number of Cases Cross 9 Lakhs, 553 Deaths

In India, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has been increasing continuously. So far, the total number of cases stands at 906752, according to the Ministry of Health & Welfare.

In the last 24 hours, 28598 new cases have been confirmed and 553 people have died.

The active cases now stand at 311565 while 571460 have recovered/migrated so far with 23727 casualties.

Maharashtra remains the worst-hit state with 260924 confirmed cases. Out of these 144507 people have recovered or have been discharged, while 10482 people have died

In Tamil Nadu, 142798 cases have been confirmed, 92567 people have recovered or have been discharged and 2032 patients have died.

113740 cases have been confirmed in Delhi, 91312 people have been recovered or have been discharged and 3411 patients have died.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the death toll from the virus has reached 573042 worldwide and the number of infected is 13103290.

America has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world. There are 3363056 confirmed cases and 135605 people have died due to this virus.
