In spite of The Delhi government’s efforts to discourage cracker bursting, monday morning post Diwali has seen a considerable deterioration in the capital’s air quality.
As of this morning, 28 October, The air quality in Delhi NCR has slipped from a ‘poor’ to ‘severe’.Although this slip was anticipated, especially on the day after Diwali, the pollution levels this year have been far better than the previous years.
This is likely also due to the lesser number of crop burning incidents this year as compared to the last.
Other metros of the country too have seen a fall in air quality levels, although not as severely.
