Sonam Kapoor Will Get Married In Mumbai Not Switzerland

According to reports, Sonam Kapoor will no longer be walking down the aisle with her boyfriend Anand Ahuja in some exotic venue in Switzerland as reported earlier. The actor’s wedding has now moved to Mumbai and will in all probability be held between 7 - 10 May.

The change in the venue is reportedly due to logistic reasons. The travel and stay arrangements for around 150 members of family and close friends of the couple was apparently not working out. So the families have instead zeroed in on a 5-star hotel in Mumbai for the wedding ceremony.

Invites for the Sonam Kapoor - Anand Ahuja wedding was put on hold because the venue was yet to be finalised, now with a suburban hotel being booked, the invitation cards too should roll out soon.

There’s been some amount of speculation about who among Sonam’s “close friends” are going to be on the guest list of the Sonam-Anand wedding. Sonam’s Kapoor’s cousins - Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi, Khushi and Anshula will obviously make it, so will her very close BFF Jacqueline Fernandez. The co-stars from her upcoming release Veere Di Wedding - Kareena Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhaskar are expected to be invited. According to sources, Sonam has already extended an invitation to Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as well.

Earlier, it was reported that Sonam Kapoor’s wedding had been postponed after Sridevi’s untimely death. But now, it seems Boney Kapoor has himself requested his younger brother Anil Kapoor and family to go ahead with Sonam’s wedding as planned.
