In light of the events which brought out the truth about the once-celebrated producer Harvey Weinstein, Hollywood has been personified as a kind of unit-driven sexual predator. However, it's time to take an inwards look at our very own linchpin of entertainment- the idolised Bollywood industry.

In a recent tweet, actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt stated that there are plenty of Weinsteins in Bollywood. She also added that unlike how the Academy expelled Weinstein following the allegations, the Indian producers association wouldn’t do anything to protect persons having faced the same kind of harassment.

2. ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ Trailer: Salman Khan Rides Into ISIS Territory

Based on the real incident of Indian nurses taken hostage by ISIS (also known as Daesh), Tiger is back in Tiger Zinda Hai. As the trailer was launched worldwide, it is a little refreshing to watch less of Salman Khan, and more about the nurses and their captors. The trailer seems to weave a terrifying story about the daring rescue of the nurses by Tiger, and his Pakistani counterpart, Zoya (played by Katrina Kaif).

3. Aditya Chopra and 2 Others Summoned by ED In Music Royalty Scam

Aditya Chopra has been summoned for an alleged multi-crore music royalty non-payment scam.

Chairman of Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra; Shridhar Subramanium, vice-president of Sony Music India and Devraj Sanyal, MD-CEO of Universal Music have been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged multi-crore royalty non-payment scam.

According to Asian Age, the developments took place after Bhushan Kumar, managing director of T-Series, and Vikram Mehra of the Saregama music label, were quizzed by the law enforcement department. The agency is currently in the process of figuring out the dues of each of the five concerned music companies.

4. Now Brahmins Want Special Screening of ‘Padmavati’ Before Release

If the Rajputs and the Congress weren’t enough, now the Brahmins have jumped into the Padmavati debate and want a special screening of the film ahead of its release. Their demand is to allow a 15-member panel to watch the film to ensure that no historical facts have been distorted and there are no love scenes between Allaudin Khilji and Rani Padmavati.

The state president of the Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha, Suresh Mishra has “categorically” stated that they will “join forces to oppose distortion of the valour and dignity of Rajasthan.”
