As Shahid Kapoor celebrates the addition of another glorious year, we go peek into his best looks through the years.
Remember Shahid Kapoor from his toddler years in Bollywood? The clean shaven, chocolate boy who could easily be mistaken for a school boy? To his credit, he did play the roles that fit the bill. Case in point, the enthusiastic romantic in Ishq Vishk, Fida and Dil Maange More. But soon his thin and frail frame turned into a structured and well-built physique, the neat face took to a messier stubble and much like this exterior, his choice of films became far more selective and experimental.
As the boy that evolved into a man ushers in another year of blessedness, let’s take a look at how Shahid’s looks evolved through the journey.
The Grunge Stubble
As Shahid’s feet found a firmer grip in tinsel town, he also turned a tad bolder in his appearance. From thin to lean, and a goody-two-shoes to a baddy, his pivotal image changer was the stubble. We think he looks naturally dapper with some rough facial growth and is meant to carry it off with effortless aplomb.
The Rugged Beard
From growing the stubble to taking the ultimate plunge (perhaps in the name of Haider). A full-grown beard sat on his face and he took as much pride in it, as he did for his phenomenal work in Haider. Well, we also saw the actor indulging in an endless spree of selfies, clearly he was loving what he saw. Actually, we loved the look just as much.
The Royal Moustache
As for now, what can be called the final leg of his current innings, he’s sporting a regal moustache. Must we add that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Takes quite a man to pull off that look and while he will be seen with the mushy even in Rangoon, got to admit that he definitely has inspired many to grow their own even before the film has begun to make any noise.
Starting off as a common player with the generic cute-boy looks, Shahid Kapoor has definitely grown to become a man of refined taste and choices that are individualistic to his very being.
