At a book launch in Mumbai on Friday evening, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah spoke strongly in favour of Karan Johar’s controversial film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. He said that actors and artistes are easy targets for any controversy and instead of threatening innocent creatives, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena should go and fight at our borders and burn Pakistani camps.
Shah also admitted that even though he’s not a big fan of Karan Johar’s cinema, he will definitely watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in a theatre to support Johar, who happens to be stuck in a political fuss for no fault of his. The veteran actor also feels that Karan Johar had no reason to apologise and should not have given in to the bullying.
