The first song from the Emraan Hashmi-starrer The Body is out. It’s titled Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded and is a remix of Emraan’s 2006 film Aksar. The peppy dance number has Emraan shaking a leg with different girls in a pub. Emraan is seen enjoying himself when Rishi Kapoor comes to ruin his plans. Wearing a hoody, Rishi looks menacing in the avatar.

At a time when our whole childhood has become a remix, this song is not half as good as the original one. The trailer for The Body dropped last week, and it offered little insight into the film, building the right suspense for the audience. The film also features Sobhita Dhulipalla and Vedhika. An official remake of a Spanish film by the same name, The Body is a crime thriller.

Sharing an anecdote from the film’s set, Emraan Hashmi had told The Quint that as part of a shot he had to put his hand inside a toilet, take out a piece of paper and then eat it. “I really did it, and I made sure that commode was a new one. I did my little ribbon-cutting on the set. So that was the first most important thing because I didn’t want to put my hand into a s**t pot that had been used before. So I made them get it to the make-up van first. I made them open it and make sure it goes there, they put Bisleri water into it,” the actor said.

Produced by Viacom 18, The Body releases on December 13.
