Twinkle Is Unique in so Many Ways: KJo
Filmmaker Karan Johar says working with his friend and actress-writer-producer Twinkle Khanna was "easy and comfortable".
Karan got the opportunity to work with Twinkle and her husband and star Akshay Kumar when he directed an ad film for Adani Wilmar's Fortune Biryani Classic Basmati Rice.
"Working with Twinkle was just as much fun as I always imagined it would be. She is unique in so many ways and brings such an amazing energy with her to set," Karan said in a statement.
"Collaborating with both Twinkle and Akshay on the same project was also super fun. Given that we have been friends for so many years, working together was very easy and comfortable. I think that translates into the ad as well and I can't wait to work with both of them again," he added.

No Point Making Documentary Films on Social Issues: Akshay Kumar
Actor Akshay Kumar, who is known for featuring in socially relevant films, feels that there is no point in making documentary films on social issues as most of the time people don't react to those films.
The actor featured in "Toilet - Ek Prem Katha" which talked about the issue of open defecation in India, when asked him what kind of reaction he received after making the film, he said: "I personally believe that there is no point making documentary films on social issues."
Big B to Meet up Farmers to Pay off Their Loans
After Maharashtra, megastar Amitabh Bachchan will pay off loans of farmers in Uttar Pradesh and will personally meet some of them to give them their bank letters.
He will arrange for 70 farmers to travel to Mumbai and receive their bank letters, his spokesperson has said.
The superstar will be taking care of 1,398 farmer loans from Uttar Pradesh amounting to over Rs 4.05 crore.
Amitabh has done an 'OTS: One Time Settlement with Bank Of India' and cleared the farmer's loans with the bank. He has also invited 70 farmers to Mumbai by blocking an entire train compartment for their travel, to personally give them their bank letters on November 26.
The farmers will receive their bank letters by Big B at his office here.
When approached, his official spokesperson confirmed: "Yes, Mr Bachchan has cleared the loans of 1398 farmers from Uttar Pradesh. He had earlier paid off the loans of Maharashtra's farmers. And now he has done so for the debted farmers of UP. Around 70 farmers have been chosen to personally travel and receive the bank letters directly from Mr Bachchan in Mumbai, clearing their outstanding dues."
Earlier this year, the "Paa" star, who is in Baroda to accept Sayaji Ratna Award, helped over 350 farmers by paying off their debts and also helped the families of around 44 martyrs of Maharashtra.
Amitabh and his wife Jaya handed over the amount to the farmers and army martyrs families privately in Mumbai a few months ago.
Vicky Kaushal Opens Up About His Struggling Days
Vicky Kaushal, who’s had several hits in 2018 says that he had a tough time getting acting gigs in his struggling days.
“For me, being on the film sets is like being in paradise. There’s a kind of satisfaction when I am on the set. That happiness can’t be described in words. I feel privileged to be able to be present on the film set and to keep working. There was a time when I had really knocked on doors to be on the film set, stood in queues for hours behind 150 people to land a role. There were quite a number of rejections, too. So, now I can’t crib when, at times, I have to wait for even three hours to shoot for my scenes,” he said to Hindustan Times.
“Mid-2016, Raman Raghav 2.0 released and weeks went by when I did not have much to do. I was getting anxious until Love per Square Foot came my way, and then Raazi happened and then it kind of felt better,” adds the actor, who was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan.

First Look Poster of Shakeela Biopic Starring Richa Chadha
Just a few days ago, the makers of one of the most anticipated biopics of 2019 released the logo of the film with a controversial tag line , ‘Not A Porn Star’ clearly emphasising the perspective of the film.

High Court to Hear Plea Against 'Zero' Trailer on November 30
The Bombay High Court has posted for hearing on November 30 a petition filed against actor Shah Rukh Khan and makers of the film Zero, claiming that the movie’s trailer has hurt sentiments of the Sikh community.
Amritpal Singh Khalsa, an advocate, had filed the petition earlier this month, seeking a direction to the film’s director and producers to delete the scenes where the lead actor Khan is seen wearing a ‘kirpan’ (a sword or small dagger carried by Sikhs).
The petition also sought a direction to the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) not to grant certification to the movie or to revoke it if it has already been given. Khalsa on Monday mentioned the petition before a division bench of Justices B P Dharmadhikari and S V Kotwal which posted it for hearing on November 30, reports PTI.

'Soorma' Producer to Present Biopic of Sikh Boxer Pardeep Nagra
After the success of "Soorma', a biopic based on the life of celebrated Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh, Deepak Singh, one of the producers of the film has decided to present a movie called "Tiger" on Indo-Canadian boxer Pardeep Nagra.
Asked about the reason behind choosing the story of Nagra, Deepak said in a statement: "After 'Soorma', I thought this is again a story to be told to people as Pardeep Nagra is a fighter and instead of giving up, he stood with his sentiments and religious beliefs and fought like a tiger and won."
The film is a crossover project that features Indian and international actors like Mickey Rourke, Janel Parrish, Prem Singh and Michael Pugliese among others.
The film is co-produced by Rocco Pugliese, reports IANS.
