'Rangeela Raja' Passed With Three Cuts by FCAT

The battle of words with the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has ended for Pahlaj Nihalani. His film "Rangeela Raja", which had been ordered 20 cuts by the Examining Committee, has now been passed with only three cuts by the Film Certificate Appellate Tribunal (FCAT), also known as the Tribunal.

But according to Nihalani, even those cuts are unjustified, reports IANS.

"They have objection on my using names from the Ramayan and the Mahabharat. Do they think they own these scriptures? The holy books belong to all of us. And we know how to respect them.

"They also feel I was disrespecting women in the film. I've never done that in my 40 years as a filmmaker. In our family, women run the show," Nihalani said.

'Simmba' Will Be Blockbuster: Deepika

Actress Deepika Padukone, who just got married to long time boyfriend actor Ranveer Singh has said her husband's forthcoming film "Simmba" will be a blockbuster.

"I think it has success written all over it. So, I think we are just focused on his film's release and then, we will figure out honeymoon and birthday all after that," said Deepika here at the Nicklodean Kids Choice Awards 2018 on Thursday, reports IANS.

At the trailer launch of "Simmba", Ranveer had mentioned that he made Deepika watch few rushes of the film and she had complimented him saying "Hot lag raha hai". On Thursday, reiterating that, Deepika said: "Yes I did when I watched the trailer. Of course, I loved it."

Abhishek Bachchan to Work in 'Breathe 2'

Abhishek Bachchan is all set to make his debut in the digital entertainment space with the second season of Breathe with Amazon Prime. Amit Sadh would reprise his role as police officer Kabir Sawant. Madhavan played the lead in the first season.

Deepika to Start Film on Laxmi Agarwal Early Next Year

Actress Deepika Padukone, who will next be seen on-screen playing the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in Meghna Gulzar's yet untitled film, says they will start working on the film early next year.

Deepika was interacting with the media at Nicklodean Kids Choice Awards 2018 here on Thursday.

Laxmi was attacked at the age of 15 and she had to undergo several surgeries. Later, she took up the job of helping acid attack survivors and continues to promote campaigns to stop acid attacks.

She even received the US State Department's International Women of Courage Award in 2014 from the former US First Lady Michelle Obama.

Deepika will also turn producer with the film, reports IANS.

Oscar Nominee Sandra Locke Dies at 74

Actress and director Sondra Locke, who received a supporting actress Oscar nomination in her first movie role for "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter", is dead.

She died on November 3 at 74, but the news has emerged now. The Los Angeles County Public Health Department confirmed her death, reported variety.com.

She died due to breast and bone cancer, according to Radar Online, which reported that she was laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary.

Locke had a contentious relationship of more than a decade with Clint Eastwood, who first cast her in "The Outlaw Josey Wales".

Singer Sona Mohapatra has appealed to the Delhi government to remove Kailash Kher from the Mayur Utsav, a cultural festival that begins on 14 December. She has started a change.org petition #WhyKailashKher, to garner support.

Sona Mohapatra has accused Kailash Kher of sexual misconduct on multiple occasions. She described these incidents in a series of tweets posted in October.
