Arjun Rampal And Jackie Shroff to Campaign For BJP?

Arjun Rampal visits the BJP office, says he may campaign for the party.

Arjun Rampal and Jackie Shroff were spotted at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. This obviously kicked off reports that the actors were going to join the political party and play an important role in the upcoming elections in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking to the media outside the BJP office, Rampal said that he was not a politician and wasn’t officially joining politics but only wanted to support the good work that the current government is doing for the country. The actor said that he strongly supported the Prime Minister’s demonetisation plan and the Swachh Bharat campaign.

I’m here to look at the benefit of my country, I think this government is doing good things for the country and that’s why I came here, to see what things I can do as a citizen of this country, to help and make sure that what ever good that they are doing comes out in the right way.

When asked if he would be campaigning for the party in the coming state elections, Rampal said, “If I feel that the person I am campaigning for is worth it, then maybe.”
