While Shah Rukh Khan has decided to take a break from the big screen after his 2018 film Zero failed to make a dent in the box office, the actor has turned his attention to the web and is busy collaborating on three productions for Netflix. The streaming platform recently put out a video in which Shah Rukh Khan is on call with someone and is strongly opposing the idea of taking on the role of an ‘interrogator.’ He refers to himself as a “gentle soul.”

Netflix has captioned the video, “We made @iamsrk an offer he couldn’t refuse.” Does this mean we might finally get a glimpse of SRK on the small screen?

Watch the video here:

Earlier, the streaming platform put out a video featuring Shah Rukh reacting to a phone call about a possible recruitment and hinted that more information will be revealed on 22 August.

In the clip, Shah Rukh receives a phone call for what he assumes is for the role of an interrogator in a film. He soon realises that the person on the other line is recruiting for an intelligence agency.

With the release of espionage thriller Bard of Blood, which is being produced by Red Chillies Productions, set for 27 September, the date mentioned in the video could be referring to when the trailer will be released.

Bard of Blood, which will star Emraan Hashmi in the lead, is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Bilal Siddiqui. Set in the Indian subcontinent, the multilingual series will tell the story of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand who is recalled from his new life as a professor to save his country and long-lost love.

Red Chillies Productions is also backing two other Netflix productions: horror series Betaal, which is being helmed by Ghoul director Patrick Graham; and Class of 83, a Netflix India original film starring Bobby Deol.
