Deepika Padukone Mocks Jealousy About Shoojit Bonding With Varun
Shoojit Sircar said that Varun Dhawan had become his ‘dil ka tukda’.
Deepika Padukone considers her film Piku, directed by Shoojit Sircar, easily as one of the best films in her career so far. Recently at an awards night, Deepika declared that Piku would be one of her all time favourite and special films. The actor obviously enjoyed a great working relationship with Piku’s director Shoojit Sircar - which is why Deepika made a hilarious tweet mocking jealousy with an “Accha!?!?”, when Shoojit Sircar said “Varun Dhawan has become my dil ka tukda!” at the launch of the October trailer on Monday.
The filmmaker was prompt to undo the “damage” by quickly tweeting, “During shoot we only spoke about you,” as a reply.
But Deepika had the final word as she carried on prodding Shoojit with a “proof chahiye dada... proof!” message.
Incidentally, Deepika was supposed to play the female lead in October but she reportedly dropped out because the film was mainly from the male lead’s perspective. Newcomer Banita Sandhu was later chosen for the role.
