Varun Dhawan proved himself quite the Good Samaritan when he helped an elderly woman climb the stairs at a polling booth on Monday 29 April and in the process captured all our hearts.

Like many Bollywood celebrities did on Monday, Varun went out to his local polling station to cast his vote as Phase 4 of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections began in Mumbai. Varun arrived with father and veteran director David Dhawan, dressed in a white tee, jeans and a baseball cap.

When he spotted an old lady struggling with the stairs to enter the voting station, Varun proceeded to hold her hand and help her up. In pictures, the woman is visibly happy and grateful. Her family looks on with joy at this display of humility from the Kalank star.

Take a look at the pictures.

Recently, David confirmed that Varun is set to tie the knot with his longtime flame Natasha Dalal sometime next year.

On the movies front, Varun was last seen in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Kalank along with Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. The period epic fizzled out at the box office. Varun is currently shooting for Street Dancer 3D opposite Shraddha Kapoor. He will also reunite with dad David for a remake of Coolie No 1 with Sara Ali Khan.
