Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam recently met Prime Minister Modi at a reception, along with a host of other artistes. The outspoken singer though wasn’t pleased by the treatment meted out to him.

He took to Facebook to write about how he and many others were asked to deposit their phones before going in and were given tokens for the same. On entering he was shocked to see several Bollywood stars clicking selfies with the PM.

His post read, “I am grateful to Ramoji Raoji, (Eenadu), because of whom I was able to attend a reception hosted by our Hon. Prime Minister at his home on the 29th of Oct. Upon entering the premises, we were asked to leave our cellphones with the security personnel and were given tokens for the same. But I was bewildered at the STARS taking selfies with the PM on that day. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM?????”

Last week, the PM had hosted a 'Change Within' meet to commemorate Gandhi’s 150th anniversary and spread his thoughts and ideologies. Several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Jacqueline Fernandez were present.

Actors from the south like Ram Charan and his wife and entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni felt that there was a lack of representation from the Southern film industry and expressed the same to PM Modi.
