From the 1990s till today, Shah Rukh Khan has been the heartthrob across generations. We last saw him in Zero and since then we have been eagerly waiting for him to announce his next project. We are yet to see him on the big screen, but the superstar will return as the host of the second season of TED Talks.

Now, a video has surfaced of Shah Rukh co-anchoring for one of the programmes in Doordarshan in the late 80s The clip starts with another anchor saying that their event will start with Kumar Sanu crooning his songs. “Isn’t Kumar Sanu the same person who sings in Kumar Sanu’s style?” SRK asks.

The female anchor says that it is widely said that Kumar Sanu considers Kishore Kumar as an inspiration. Shah Rukh then introduces the veteran singer on stage.

Shah Rukh Khan started his career with television. He made his debut with Fauji in 1988, where he essayed the role of Abhimanyu Rai. He has also worked on shows such as Wagle Ki Duniya, Circus, Doosra Keval.

Recently, at the press meet of Ted Talks India: Nayi Baat, Shah Rukh said that at times when people are just glued to OTT platforms, it’s important that we all watch something as a community and TED Talks is that family show. “TED Talks will help parents like me understand what the young India is heading towards.,” he said.
