In between shots of him showing off his zany outfits and promotional photos for his films, Ranveer Singh often shares throwback pictures of him and his family on Instagram. Most recently, he posted a photo of himself, possibly in his late teens.

While his clean-shaven reminds you of his look in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, it’s his necklace that has caught the attention of some fans who pointed out that it resembles the one worn by Marvel character Black Panther in the film. This prompted many to comment “Wakanda forever”.

Celebs teased Ranveer saying that he looked “innocent” in the photo. Kapil Dev wrote, “Innocent and very cute”. “This looks like you from Ricky Bahl” wrote TV actor Vivan Bhatena.

Ranveer is set to star as former Indian skipper Kapil Dev in 83, with Deepika Padukone playing his wife Romi Bhatia. The Kabir Khan directorial is based on India’s historic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup and also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Ammy Virk. It releases on 10 April 2020.

He also recently shared the first look of Jayeshbhai Jordaar, in which he plays a Gujarati boy and appears to have lost a lot of weight for the role. The film will be directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and produced by Yash Raj Films.

Speaking about his character, Ranveer told Hindustan Times, “Jayeshbhai is an ordinary man who does something extraordinary when he is hurled into a threatening situation. He believes in equal rights between men and women. The film talks about how judgemental society is about women.”
