Touched by Blessings: PC Thanks Modi for Gracing Wedding Reception
Priyanka and Nick Jonas tied the knot on 1-2 December.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot at a four-day wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan between 29 November and 2 December. The newly weds then flew to Delhi for their wedding reception, which was held at the Taj Palace Hotel on 4 December.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed rumours that he had been invited by making an appearance and greeting the newly weds. Priyanka later put up a post on Instagram thanking him for attending the Delhi reception and showering his blessings on the couple. “A heartfelt thank you to our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for gracing us with your presence. Touched by your kind words and blessings,” she wrote.
The guests for the reception included close family such as Paul Kevin Jonas Sr, aka Papa Jonas; Nick’s mother Denise; Joe Jonas and fiancee Sophie Turner; and Priyanka’s mother Madhu and brother Siddharth.
This is not Priyanka’s first encounter with the PM. She was infamously trolled for wearing a dress that revealed her legs when she met Modi in 2017 while promoting her film Baywatch in Germany.
