Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in a Christian ceremony on 1 December in Jodhpur followed by a Hindu ceremony the next day. In a new interview with NDTV, Priyanka Chopra has opened up and spilled more juicy details about her dream wedding to Nick Jonas. When asked whether Nick was intimidated by the Indian ceremonies, Priyanka replied that it was the other way around and that the Jonas family was more prepared.
Priyanka described her much remarked-upon grand sangeet ceremony as a "fierce song and dance competition but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love.” Priyanka could be seen wearing sindoor in the interview.
She added that she had butterflies on her wedding day but seeing Nick made everything alright.
Priyanka wore a customised Ralph Lauren gown for her Christian wedding followed by a red Sabyasachi lehenga for her Hindu wedding. She explained her dressing choices and how she made them her own.
When prodded about details on her upcoming honeymoon, Priyanka simply said that she doesn’t know yet since she is already busy with work.
Priyanka was then asked what advice she had for young women trying to juggle work and marriage. “Your priorities are right, whatever they are,” she promptly responded.
In terms of films, Priyanka will next be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink opposite Farhan Akhtar, which she is co-producing as well. "What struck me was that it's a true story... an inspiring look at death," she said about the film.
