Kapil Sharma & Former PM Manmohan Singh Bond Over Amritsari Roots
Kapil had also met with current PM Narendra Modi recently.
Comedian-actor-producer Kapil Sharma met former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and bonded over their Amritsari roots.
Kapil on Tuesday tweeted a photograph of himself along with Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur.
"Thank you respected Manmohan Singhji for the warmth, hospitality and a heart-to-heart conversation about our Amritsari roots, especially about our college and food," the comedian captioned the image.
"Was an honour meeting such a humble and simple statesman like you, and receiving blessings from ma'am," he added.
A couple of weeks ago, Kapil also met with current Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inauguration ceremony of the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai and praised the PM’s sense of humour on Twitter. Modi replied saying, “When @KapilSharmaK9 appreciates somebody's humour, it sure makes that person happy and I am no exception. :) Thank you for the kind words Kapil.”
On the work front, Kapil is currently hosting the The Kapil Sharma Show after a brief break.
In December of last year, he got married to longtime partner Ginni Chatrath and recently hosted a wedding reception in Delhi.
