Fatima Sana Shaikh, whose last release Thugs of Hindostan bombed at the box office, opened up about the rumours of a link-up with her co-star and mentor, Aamir Khan.

In a conversation with Filmfare, Fatima said that she’s learnt to ignore the rumour of an affair with the Dangal actor because “it’s disturbing”. She also says that she’s never had to deal with something of this magnitude, so she still has days when it bothers her.

A bunch of strangers, whom I’ve never met, are writing things about me. They don’t even know if there’s any truth to it. People reading it assume that I’m ‘not a good person’.

She added that it’s disturbing and said that people assume she’s a bad person.

“You feel like telling that person, ‘Ask me, I’ll give you an answer’. It disturbs me because I don’t want people to assume wrong things. Agar main asliyat mein haraami hoon toh people should see my asliyat (If I am a bad person in reality then people should see my reality). But If I’m not, I don’t want them to see me as a bad person,” said Fatima.

Fatima is currently working on a project with Rajkummar Rao on Anurag Basu's directorial -- a sequel to Life In A Metro, though she said: "I don't think it is called that."
